We describe a micro-school as the marriage of homeschooling and private education. Little School House is a form of private education that is ideal for homeschooling families. Classes are small with a range of ages. Each class holds a maximum of ten students.

Little School House was established in April 2025 and is led by Mrs. Kelly. Kelly is a graduate of Mississippi State University class of 2017. She is also a homeschooling mother, homesteader, and an artist. Led by her faith, she wanted to provide a true Bible based learning environment for children that instills righteous morals in them through study and practice. She also wanted pass on her homesteading knowledge and love for creating art.

We meet in an 1800 square foot home on a quarter acre lot in Jacksonville. The backyard hosts chickens, a small greenhouse, and a garden. We have plans to add a small orchard, cut flowers, rabbits, and woodshop.

Our goal is to raise up the next generation with righteousness in mind. Righteousness is G.d’s definition of perfection and He said it is achievable. We instill in our children the morals of our Messiah and the expectations of our G.d. Our calendar reflects the Biblical holidays, and it is not inclusive of all national holidays.
